Yom Hashoah Holocaust Remembrance Day

Dr. Carol Rittner RSM will discuss “Righteous Gentiles:  The Challenge of the Exception”

Dr. Carol Rittner, RSM is the Distinguished Professor of Holocaust & Genocide Studies Emerita and the Dr. Marsha Raticoff Grossman Professor of Holocaust Studies Emerita at Stockton University (New Jersey). She is the author or editor of 20 books and numerous essays in various scholarly and educational journals about the Holocaust and other genocides of the 20th and 21st centuries.  Dr. Rittner has lectured in the United States and around the world, and took many trips to Israel with members of our Jewish community including one led by Rabbi Barras, of blessed memory, which began with a visit to the Vatican in Rome and then to Jerusalem.  Dr. Rittner will follow a Remembrance Service, and a Candle lighting ceremony by second generation survivors.
